Disappointing Stay with a So-Called "Upgrade" We were excited to check into this hotel, especially when they offered us a "free upgrade" upon arrival. However, the upgrade turned out to be a nightmare. The room we were given had a large window overlooking the indoor swimming pool, which might sound nice, but in reality, it was far from it. First and foremost, the hotel doesn't have air conditioning—a shocking discovery given the sweltering 90°F temperatures outside. Instead, they provided a simple fan, but it was so disgustingly dusty that it was a health hazard to even use it. Breathing in that air was unbearable. With no fresh air circulating and the room sealed off like a dusty basement, we were trapped in what felt like an oven. I genuinely don't know how we survived the night, and I shudder to think about the potential impact on our health. For the amount of money we paid, this experience was completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise against staying here, especially if you value your health and comfort. The lack of proper ventilation and cleanliness is inexcusable. This was, by far, one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
Beautiful hotel & WONDERFUL location for visiting Lake Louise & Yoho National Park. Even the views from the room are incredible. Rooms are clean & have a fridge which is nice; however, at this price point it would be nice to have a microwave as well. Staff is friendly & I love that the resort offers bike rentals. Wish we had more time to stay & enjoy the amenities.
We stayed in a Deluxe One King room & it was pretty awful really. It looks like it hasn’t been updated since the day it was built! Decor is horrible & looks old & worn. There is no air conditioning & they claim this is because they are an “eco friendly hotel” but I think it’s because they just don’t want to spend the money, since they also don’t want to spend any money on upgrading anything! With the amount they charge to stay here they could certainly put some of that towards some updating! The bed was saggy & uncomfortable & even with the window open the room was hot so it was a terrible night’s sleep. The bathroom is no bigger than a broom closet, you have to step in & stand in between the toilet & the basin to be able to shut the door. The electricity outlets in the bathroom were so old that nothing that you plugged in would stay in the outlet & just kept falling out. At one point I was using the hairdryer & had to keep putting the plug back in & then it tripped the circuit breaker & the power in the bathroom went out so I had to call the front desk & they sent someone up to reset it. The towels in the bathroom were so thin & small & felt like they had been around since the hotel was built as well! Our friends stayed in a standard double bed room & it was even worse, it looked like a 1950’s cheap motel room! One positive was the restaurant, Legends. The food was great & our server Albert was fantastic.
Room was extremely small with no fridge or A/C and mattress was awful. Room felt like a sauna as you could only crack open a tiny window, staff was friendly and location was good. Not worth the price at all. We stayed in Radium Springs for a few nights prior and in Canmore prior. Would rather stay there and would never come back here unless winter time being close to ski hill.
The hotel staff were lovely and the location was great, but the rooms were dated and pricey. This Inn is much cheaper (better value) than the other, extravagant options nearby. Still, I found the room and bed too small and the couch was more comfortable to lie on. The extra bedding was scratchy. There was no refrigerator or air conditioning. Fans were provided and one window can open. There was no elevator to the second floor. The room (in the building they assigned to us) is in need of some upgrading. Lake Louise Park is an expensive place to stay at, so their price is a steal compared to the fancy hotel. The room is small, but warm and clean. The staff were friendly and we could walk to the nearby stores.
