I had a disappointing experience at Johnston Meier today July 10 2024 at 1010am. While trying to transfer ownership of a vehicle with my client. The Indian insurance agent sitting on the right was overly cautious to the point of being obstructive. She scrutinized the registration and transfer papers for a good three minutes, then consulted her supervisor because the car's color was listed as silver instead of grey. She even called the ICBC hotline, and from her tone, it was clear she was reluctant to process the transfer. It made me wonder if it was because my client is Black or if she was simply suspicious. Either way, her excessive fear of losing her license led her to refuse the transfer altogether. We ended up going to another ICBC brokerage where the process was completed effortlessly. This agent wasted 30 minutes of our time only to tell us no. Her inexperience and the overly cautious approach were frustrating, and I will not be bringing my business to Johnston Meier again because of this. Other brokerages made the process simple, but this experience was a hassle from start to finish.

Highly recommended, very professional and polite staff. They answered all of my questions and helped to pick the best insurance option for my motorcycle. Also not too busy on Thursday lunch time, open for walk-ins, while BCAA requires an appointment several days in advance.

Very rude staff. They treat you like they are doing a favor by giving insurance. The front desk people are informed and good, they guided me to get my driving record updated. But the staff inside are hardly interested to do work and shouting “make an appointment”, “read the notice”, instead of accepting their mistake of calling me on a wrong day.
