My Manitoba car insurance cost me over $720 MORE than it should have because they took away my out of province license without advising me to get my driving record or claim free insurance letters. After over 50 years of driving, over 30 years since I've had any kind of accident, never even a speeding ticket they gave me a +6 DSR and I was charged over $2600 for my insurance. People are being punished for living and working outside of Manitoba now? The MPI website has advice about getting your out of province driving record and claims record but it is well hidden at the bottom of a page not up at the top where people might find it. Step 1 is NOT to visit an autopsic centre and hand over your license. It's to get your driving record. Super big hassle for me now to sort this all out because it's hard to get a driving record with an expired driving license. Totally unacceptable.

More than a month after my property has been severely damages by sewage backup. I still have not received the cheque that will not even cover 1/10 of the damage when I was told it will take only 11days. The service was very disappointing. They barely followed up and i did not feel suported. I do not recommend. They were unhelpful. Suzanne said the there would be 75k for living expenses and we later found that it was untrue.
