The triage staff with long straight hair and the receptionist with curly black shoulder length hair is VERY RUDE.Simply asked to reactivate my account and the triage staff replied with a harassing tone: “that’s not wat you said you said there’s a hold on your account!” I know what I said girl. And the girl with black curly hair talked to me with a SUPER impatient tone like I was wasting their time. Wake up! You get paid for customer service not customer threatening!

The young African-canadian woman at the service desk was quite impolite at many instances. Emphasizing at the conclusion of our interaction, I inquired if she would be able to schedule a knowledge test for motorcycle too. She responded in an aggressive manner that I should have informed her of this need earlier, as she had already closed my file. This occurred immediately after she returned my paperwork to me. Was I expected to interrupt her at that moment? Is it particularly difficult to reopen a file? Or perhaps she had more important matters to attend to than fulfilling her service obligations. Her behavior adversely affected my entire day. I refrained from responding due to the values instilled in me by my father, who emphasized that without discipline, morality, and kindness, our existence becomes akin to that of animals. If only she had been raised properly too. I must also mention that my friend who accompanied me was fortunate enough to receive assistance from a helpful and considerate white man. Out of the five representatives working that day, he was the only one who provided satisfactory service. Therefore, the one star rating I have given is solely for him. Lastly, when I mention "black" or "white," it is simply for clarity to understand who I am referring to. I am not racist, as I myself am of Indo-British heritage. It seemed like the maint task of the receptionists at this location to destroy the mood anyone who visits them. Rude and mean. Respectful workplace? - not at all.

The Manitoba public insurance is a government owned insurance Corporation for the province of Manitoba Canada. This particular branch in Donald street Winnipeg is located at the main floor of the building. The staff here are very polite, friendly and kind in the disposition of their duties as MPI staff, no issues of favouritism, racism etc. They attended to me very nicely, and their written test for the driver's licence was well organised, and the staff also behaving so professional, which is a plus to their public good will. In fact, this branch of the MPI is quite recommendable for clients who live in Winnipeg, and ready to process their driver's licence.

Tired taking my daughter for her knowledge test as they do walk-in tests. As per their website, it states that they do this between the hours of 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM M-F. We arrived a few minutes prior to 4:00 PM only to find the door locked. We knocked and a security guard opened the door and stated they are closed. They have a policy that anyone wanting to do the knowledge test must arrive 15 minutes prior to close as they are done work at 4:30 PM and it takes time to register individuals that want to write their test and would not be able to leave on time if they did not have this policy in place. This policy was on a letter that was taped on the outside of the door. I am not sure if it is MPI company policy or just the policy of this particular location. If it is a company policy, this information should be readily available to the public via social media or on the website. Highly inconvenient when you arrive within the timeframe provided on their website only to find out that you are unable to write the test. So anyone going there to write their drivers knowledge test, ensure that you arrive 15 minutes prior to their stated hours of operation.
