While I rather not comment on the expense, I can confidently rate my customer service experience as a 5/5 when insuring my new vehicle. Jake was my agent, I found him knowledgeable and friendly and he got the job done. Have never had to put a claim in, so can't rate that side.

Belairdirect has ignored my phone calls for 9 days. I have a hit and run claim started. I have spoken with the Intact adjuster and they would not give an appointment time to assess the damages. I posted a few bad reviews on some of their social media ads. Suddenly I get a private message telling me my case is escalated but it could be up to 72 hours before someone contacts me, and they are blocking me on Facebook for spam. 5 hours later I finally get an adjuster to call me. We will see how the rest of this nightmare pans out.

In comparison to other insurance companies I saved $500 by going with Bell Direct. My agent was quick, knowledgeable, kind and listened to my needs. Very pleased with the outcome.

Car insurance transferred from Johnson in May. Last week I couldn't renew registration because the provincial system could not find proof of insurance. As per instructions from Belairdirect, went to MRD with insurance slip and proof of coverage to get registered. Was told at MRD that Belair had not shared my insurance information with the Insurance Bureau of Canada which the Province uses as their data source for their Insurance Validation Program. The renewal had been in place for over 30 days. Got a renewal from MRD on Monday, and got a email from the province 3 days later on Thursday that my registration was going to be cancelled due to lack of proof of insurance. Belair direct call centre people would not admit problem was on their side and told me to try again. And yes, I triple checked the VIN number on all documents with the vehicle. Belair direct is seriously behind in their paperwork and is hiding the issue from their customers.

I had home insurance with Johnson's for half a century. It was bought out by Belair Insurance Company Inc last year. I had shingles blow off my roof and water came in through my ceiling. This was reported to insurance last month. We have had rain most days and nights since. It is June in St. John’s after all. To date? NO DIRECTION.
