Service Canada Centre and Passport Services 1800 Argyle St

They should hire more people, I have been waiting for my turn for more than an HOUR, I can see that Representative is talking to their colleague frequently and not taking customers. There is only one window who takes walk in application for Passport request. More than 30 people are waiting and all representatives are taking their breaks. Service Canada should take this seriously and hire more staff. It is a simple task not a rocket science.

Walk ins are welcome, but remember to have your information and documents in order. The gentleman in interview room B was very knowledgeable and had me on my way in short order with the an update SIN file. Never got his name, but way to go!!! Keep up the great work. As for the 4 Stars rating, that's my usual, as there is always something else can be done.

May 8, 2024 we went to get a renewal completed for a passport. Booked appt for 11:20 am. The whole process was so seemless. The first lady we were directed to was so helpful, with information and a few tips that make the process easy as could be! Her name was Jennifer and she was on desk 11. I specifically asked her name due to her beyond superb customer service. She is wonderful! The 2nd lady we spoke to in order to finish the application for renewal was just as great. I didnt get her name as she explained they move around as to what desk they are on, but on this day she was at number 1. Very thorough, helpful and knowledgeable. Both of these ladies were so friendly! I have never received poor service however, and these ladies are 2 reasons we will always go right to the city for anything passport related. I also advise this to anyone who asks me for info about a passport! 20/10 rating if I could give it! FABULOUS! Wonderful service does exist!

Everybody at this office was very nice and helpful, except the guy that I got to renew my passport. His name was “howard” if I remember correctly. He was so rude.. I felt afraid to even ask a question because of the way he was talking to me. I asked him “am I going to get my ID back today, or do you guys need it for the process?” He replied “well it’s in my hand isn’t it”. He was very rude and clearly not a people person. His tone was awful and he treated me like I was dumb.

The place is located inside corner building, first floor, and it is advised to take appointment. The staff were friendly I got my work done very fast, they maintain strict social distance protocol.
