Such a horrible experience with Hub. my Credit card got compromised where my payments were being withdrawn. They took my new C.C. info over the phone. and I thought all was done...absolutely NOT! my insurance company sent me 2 registered letters one for my car and another for my home policy..advising they will be cancelled if I do not pay..?? Called my broker where she advised I need to fill out a form. I filled out the form and sent back. Then I had to get a letter from my VISA to advise my credit card did get compromised. this was needed by Hub in order to waive the $50, per policy, NSF. I got the letter and sent it in. My broker confirmed all is good. NOW I get an urgent call from my Mortgage company saying my insurance company (Pembridge) contacted them saying my house insurance has lapsed and will be cancelled as of July 8th! Now my mortgage company needs an official letter specifying from my insurance company..that either my existing policy will be reinstated OR a NEW policy as of July 8th! What is the point of having a broker when they allow your policy to lapse! and to now effect your Mortgage! Not just a disappointment, but a dangerous company to allow their customers to get into trouble with their mortgage company!
It's impossible to reach someone in a timely manner. Last year, my insurance went up for no reason related to my driving. Tried to email and call my broker. No answer. When I was finally told to call the 1-800 number to speak with a random broker, they informed me (without much empathy or without apologizing for HUB's bad service) that I should have called way in advance so they could shop around for a cheaper price. That's what I was trying to do! Next, I bought a 2nd car. I spoke with 2 different people, they both gave me 2 different processes in how to get temporary insurance to get plates to drive it home. I was a 1.25 hour drive from home. They said they were expecting my call and email and would be fast to get back to me. After 15 minutes of waiting via email, I call only to reach a new person who gave me DIFFERENT information again, and being curt with me for being upset. It's 4pm and the DMV closes in 30 minutes. Finally the original broker gets back to me. Asking me for information that I confirmed beforehand I DID NOT NEED. I was a 15 minute drive from the car, it's 4pm, I'm at the DMV and they are asking me for pictures of the car - this was not on the checklist for temporary insurance. I was able to get it sorted before it closed, but it was a horrible experience and extremely stressful. Even the person at the DMV expressed that my brokers sound awful to deal with. Fast forward to today: I have been calling since yesterday. I've waited in the Q, I've asked for callbacks, I've emailed, and I can't get through to anyone. I need a letter in order to change insurance providers, but I can't get through to my own insurance. 10/10 would absolutely not recommend this company. I've been able to speak with my future broker more in the last 72 hours than I have since 2018 with HUB.
Don't know how this place does any business but customer service doesn't exist!
