Would not recommend this company to anybody. Did not properly explain my coverage when I first signed up. I took a complete loss on my boat, called them for advice and the one male that works there was completely short and rude throughout the entire phone call. The reason I got insurance was to ensure that I would be protected in case something like this ever happened. They have no problem taking my money but when I needed them they were of no help. If I could recommend any piece of advice to anyone who decides to sign up with these people do not listen to what they say, read the entire contract yourself as what they say versues what they write in the contract are two completely different things.

I had contacted 3 different Insurance companies for quotes on my new boat.NORTH STAR was the quickest to reply and had the best premium with the same or better coverage. I delt with Madison she was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful... always a prompt reply to any emails or phone calls!! I would highly recommend North Star and Madison to any other boat owners!!thank you Lorrie

This company sponsors the free showcase theatre educational seminars at the Toronto boat show. For my money that's excellent proof that they care about boaters and are worth contacting for a quote. You can read the rest of the reviews here and find people who complained that they didn't have enough money in their account to make a payment, but you won't find a complaint about their dedication to the boating industry or keeping their customers satisfied when they needed to be looked after.

We have been with them for 2 years and they dont even know who we are or what kind of boat we have. Recently we received a phone call from the owner who said that we owe money and that we need to pay our premium. We called and spoke to him to remind him that we paid in full at the beginning of the year. In the end we had to dig up our Visa bill to show proof of our payment and he made excuses that he mistakenly took us for another customer. we do not appreciate being treated this way. We paid for insurance for the peace of mind that our asset is covered and all we got out of this company is inconvenience and stress. We do not recommend this company.
