Poor communication. No phone calls, no personal touch. My experience has been that they do the absolute minimum required. Bob Brown was excellent, but since he retired it has been dismal. Life is short. Go elsewhere for your insurance. Find a broker that actually gets to know you and wants you to succeed.
I purchased pontoon boat Insurance was happy with the rate people were great all was good.until a tree fell on my boat ruining the full enclosure .I called they said I was covered but I needed to get a quote on repairs .After getting the quote adjuster said he was fine with the quote but that the boat was under insured .that was last June?No one called back dispite my constant calls .I was told 2 different times someone dropped the ball? So now it gets better in order to get a settlement they ask me to sign a document saying if I accept the payout they own my boat??? And I won't be insured anymore even though my policy expires next June?I have never had a insurance claim before in recent history but it makes you wonder why buy boat Insurance the stress from this is not worth any payout .
I have dealt with Newman Insurance for many years, Bob Brown is my agent, very knowledgeable, from old school, had some initial issues with younger staff but as I have been in business since 1972 myself may have been a bit overdemanding "LOL". Bob set me straight on what to expect and has provided that service since then, His assistant McKenzie has been equally helpful and available as needed. As I am a small OMVIC dealer I was just happy to get full insurance at a reasonable rate which I now have. Please keep up the good work!!!
Sent several emails to 4 different employees there ...my agent David Ednie...my old agent dean burns who I copied on everything and 2 different quality control employees. I got no response from any one .it was regarding my raised rates and my unacceptance of the quotes .i said I was going to.look elsewhere ...no response and no offer of a cancellation form . It wasn't until I called and left a voicemail with the quality assurance person (who never called me back) I finally heard from Dean Burns who I had been copying on all David Ednies email (my agent) he said "You told us you told us you were looking elsewhere " which is true but i got no RESPONSE. Or an offer of cancellation form at that time It wasn't until all this delay that I had had it with their last of customer service and told them to cancel my policy. This was an obvious stalling tactic on their part. I recommend you do no business with this company...highly unprofessional with their longstanding clients Martha McSherry
Shouldn't take over 30 days for an insurance quote from the company who holds your policy .. pushing it to the renewal date is sorry business practise. Not the 1st,2nd or even 3rd call back problem we've had. Sorry business practise
