Terrible experience with Allstate this year. Same sentiment and experience as many other reviews. Very disappointing as I have had home and auto insurance for years with Allstate.. I had previously championed and shared how great past reps and the experiences dealing with Allstate were exceptional. There is value in more than.just price but my home and auto policies combined have increased by thousands this year with no change in coverage. And the icing on the cake is to call the customer care line and get no effort or real empathy or explanation. Just reps who lack customer service skill and manners. What a shame.

My policy is up for renewal after 5 years and I WILL NOT be renewing. All the reviews you have read about phone waits and customer service so TRUE. My “agent” apparently has retired or gone elsewhere and was excellent. I called or emailed him when needed as I could never get through to 800 or even local office. STEVE was great but NO NOTICE nor was I assigned my NEW agent. I have learned they no longer work this way! EXAMPLE… After almost ONE HOUR on hold the person was useless. Good part is that while I was on hold I was able to get 3 quotes between 30 & 50 cheaper AND even spoke to a nice/knowledgeable people. I have had 2 no fault accidents and it was a nightmare getting any help. I ended up taking the vehicle to CarStar and they took care of everything.

Used to be an excellent agency a few years back, now there is zero chance of them answering the customer service line. Not sure if there is new ownership but whatever they have done has completely ruined this once great branch. Pathetic to have no support while paying exorbitant rates (claims free with spotless driving record, also claims free on home insurance as well). It's necessary to clean house of entire management, very clear It's not working based on reviews I have read. Long time customer and will be changing if no improvement by renewal time. Update: I see below they have time to reply to reviews but not to emails or answer the phone. I have emailed with no response and my wife called was on hold for 45 minutes before the line magically disconnected.

Absolutely make sure you know all the codes listed on your policy before renewal! After our auto renewal was processed we found out that the quote we received was not for full coverage. The price increase was massive! If we would known this prior to the renewal date, we would have canceled right away. Now to cancel we have pay a cancelation fee plus Allstate had previously withdrawn the fee for the last month of the policy which they are also keeping. Unbelievable! I left several messages with a manager and have never received a call back.

Worst customer service. I have called first thing in the morning to update payment issue. The agent is rude and not helpful. My good mood got ruined thanks to her. Better work on customer service.
