Next to impossible to talk to someone, and using the "call back" option while on hold is also useless, recently switched but tried calling to review rates with them, got hung up on or "disconnected" after being on hold for a LONG time, didnt get a call back, not worth the effort and time wasted to stay with them, so when I finally reached someone just chose to cancel. They tried contacting me through an incorrect number despite me telling them to change it, and after a second time of being contacted through the wrong number,I tried calling back within a few minutes of the initial voicemail on incorrect phone, I got placed back on hold for a while and never spoke to someone. Guess it wasn't that important. Glad i'm cancelling with them, couldn't imagine calling them with something important and the rates are average, nothing worth staying for.
MIB Akshay Dhawan is amazing. He worked on getting me the best deal available for my vehicles. He was kind, and very understanding. He made sure to walk me through all of my options to make sure I knew what would work best for me. We spoke over a few days and I never felt like I was on the back burner with him, he always answered my calls or called back within a small window of time. Thank you Akshay !!
I’m almost impressed on how bad the service is? I’ve had my policy for a little over a year and the person who opened my policy was helpful and answered all my questions and told me to call him back with any questions then didn’t answer is phone for 6 months. I now have a claim to file as i was hit in a hit and run and have waited on hold for 2+ hours total over three calls and have received the “customer satisfaction survey” then had the call ended before I spoke with anyone. I’ve left 2 messages over the past two weeks and have heard nothing back. I think it’s worth paying a few more dollars per month to go with manulife or a larger more competent firm.
Terrible customer service they made me hold for hours on hold to speak to a salesperson to buy the insurance! I never got to talk to anyone as the calls disconnect after about half an hour. The receptionist said they had little to no wait put me through again wait an hour then call is disconnected. Another receptionist promised me a call back when I told them my struggles to speak with someone and buy insurance and I never got the call back. I guess this company doesn’t need business.
Awful, awful, awful customer service. When purchasing a car insurance policy I told the agent we would probably be moving back to the States before the term ended. Was told, “no problem we can credit you back in your credit card for remaining months on policy”. Fast forward to me trying to get the credit once my policy was canceled. All of a sudden there is a “cancellation fee” of 1 month for cancelling the policy. Was never informed of this. (I’m sure it’s in the fine print somewhere) And of course a check was sent to an address I no longer live at, after being VERY specific about the refund needing to go to my CC. So still trying to get my refund 3-4 weeks later. Funny how fast these companies take our money, yet make you spend hours on the phone trying to get it back.
