Adding to the pile of terrible customer service reviews here. Been with Allstate for the past 5 years as they USED to be competitively priced, over the last 8 months I have seen rate increases across home and auto in excess of 40% with no changes to my policy nor any claims or tickets, explanation I am given is "well things are more expensive for us, so..". Customer service is absolutely horrible, I have since changed company's (finding 30% cheaper rate for the same service elsewhere) all I am trying to do is contact a human being to cancel my policy but their phones are hardly monitored. I have a 40minute drive to and from work daily in which I wait on hold both directions trying to get through to someone, I have been doing this for over a week now and still nothing. This is during normal business hours too... I don't understand how a "reputable company" can have such a lack of customer service. Please save yourself the headaches myself and all these other folks writing reviews are facing and look elsewhere.

Most useless branch ever! Visited their branch on 2 occasions, both instances NO AGENTS in the office to speak to! They say there's "no agents in on Mondays" What??? They open at 9am, only the receptionist is there. Manager strolls in after 10:30 am. Who is running this office??? Seriously Allstate! Big office area and it's empty. No agents in sight and a manager that shows up almost 2 hours after opening. I drove in almost an hour away to speak to someone face to face and only the receptionist was there. (She was great and as helpful as she could be) but it's unacceptable for a customer to take time out of their day to drive to their office only to be handed a phone to speak to someone who knows where. Took over an hour on the phone to resolve an issue that could have been handled in 15 minutes. Allstate, PLEASE RECONSIDER WHO YOU HAVE RUNNING THIS OFFICE. Your paying customers deserve better service. The reviews before me show that I'm not the only one who has faced poor service from this office.

I STILL HAVE NOT heard back from any agent. Does anyone even work there? This is absolutely ridiculous. June 8th 2024 was the day I started my incredibly annoying journey of trying to get a hold of an agent. It is now August 12th. I have sold one of my vehicles on my policy. I have submitted all necessary documents and nothing has changed. My app is still saying I have 2 vehicles and they are still billing me for 2 vehicles. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I have already submitted a terrible Google review, they responded on there saying someone will be in contact soon and it's been a week...and NOTHING...

I had an exceptional experience from one of the agents, Andy, at Allstate. He listened attentively to my concern, he showed empathy, was able to guide me and resolved my issue. Andy is definitely an asset to your institution and I will be recommending him to friends and family going forward. Thank you for being understanding Andy and for going above and beyond to resolve my issue. Your customer service is exemplary. Five stars. Erica

Allstate customer service is much to be desired. I was on hold for almost an hour and when I spoke to a rep and they were unable to assist me. They told me my issue was resolved however I received a follow up email advising me they needed more info. The email provided me with a number to call and I waited for 1/2 hour with no answer. The only number that was answered was for a sales rep who was unable to help. I literally have to go to the office for an answer. Sure glad I was not in a car accident. If I could give their customer service no stars I would.
