I had a basement flood in July of last year and they kept assigning different adjusters to my claim. The first never responded to numerous emails, even when my broker intervened. The other two after that provided little interaction.I also had problems with their assigned cleaning company. When I finally communicated with the last adjuster, they refused to assist with additional repairs caused by white mold. They used the original statement of loss from the company that made numerous,delays and didn't finish the work or assess the additional damage. I suggest you look elsewhere for your insurance needs.
Our family suffered from a house fire on April 22nd, and in the midst 2 of our vehicles were partially damaged from the fire and rendered not drivable. Trying to deal with CAA during these times to have our vehicles repaired has been a hastle and they have been quite unresponsive. They have asked for proof the vehicles were damaged in the fire, which the only proof that is possible is the wreckage of our house and the damaged vehicles. Would not recommend CAA to anyone who is looking for a decent insurance company. We have dealt with TD and they have been much more accomadating and understanding of the situation.
So far so good. Just changed our vehicle insurance to CAA. The cost is a fair hit less then our current insurance company since they wanted to up our monthly payments by $30.
Car was hit parked. It's been over 3 days and they cannot get the claim going or the rental. They lost my claim information on the first round, had to re-report. I've made at least 12 calls to them, they have never called back. Still don't know what they will pay for, but if past is any indication of future they will cheap out. Years ago lost roof in a windstorm as well, and the adjuster kept changing the coverage for repairs - downwards on every conversation, of course.
Worst insurance company in Canada. Will never leave they office..they put the cost on you everytime.. my car was hit while parked. CAA took my car and gave it back in non running conditions. I had to tow the car from CAA for repairs at dealership and they put the cost on me..my neighbors junk pile shredded my paint job last year..CAA put the cost on me on that claim as well..do not use CAA they will steal your money. Far better options out there.CAA does not care about you. Amanda Mussilin the government representative did almost nothing to help ..CAA will not help you.
