Beware of drastic premium increases. When I signed my dog up (as soon as possible after bringing him home) in 2021 his monthly premium was $130. In 2022 it increased by 8% which was annoying but doable. In 2023 when renewal came up after my dog turned 8 the premium on our plan increased to $200. Now in 2024 it has again gone up to $240. A high interest savings account is more reliable, or possibly other companies. But this isn't reasonable.

I've been using Pets Plus Us for 7-years for my dog. I have submitted very few claims over the years, my dog has been relatively healthy. I have only gone over my $500 deductible once over the 7-years, and my last last claim was in 2022 (over a year and a half ago). My dog turned 7 over the weekend, and I wake up this morning to see that the premium has increased over 30%. Crazy. I never saw an increase like this in the past, and I would have never agreed to pay $160+ a month. I'm sure they'll do this again next year, their goal is clearly to squeeze their clients and force them to cancel. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't use them.

I see a lot of negative reviews and I am unsure why this is. Pets Plus Us (PTZ Insurance) has been great to me. Even their customer service is wonderful. My dog is a senior and has a lot of health issues as he is aging and I have never had any issues with my claims. The deductible is fair and so is the monthly premium. I am so glad because I spend thousands of dollars on my pup each year for his medications and vet visits (he is now on 7 medications) so being connected with this company has really saved me a lot and gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that I am covered should he encounter another illness. I highly recommend.

Not a clue whats with all the negative reviews. Been with this company for almost 9 years, my pup recently just went through a huge health crisis. Pets PlusUs reimbursed me for what was promised on the policy. I would've been $3000+ in the hole right now. The people complaining about this company are probably the people that never read their policy guidelines, their deductibles or they got insurance when their pet had a bunch of pre-existing conditions.

STEER CLEAR. This is a money grab, and they have no intention of ever paying clients. I spent 3 months trying to file a claim, but the adjusters would keep moving the goal posts as to what they "needed" for reimbursement. They would conveniently "forget" that I've already met their requirements, and then tell me that they need the information that I already provided them in the last email and the email before that. Even their own phone representatives admitted to me that the information was already there on my profile, and there shouldn't be any reason why I'm getting denied reimbursement. I paid them for pet insurance in good faith for close to a decade without having needed to file any claim, and they had no problems taking my money, but as soon as I had to file one claim, they have shown their true colors.
