Call a month earlier to cancel my renewal, cause I was shopping for new insurance. Called back 2 days after my renewal, waited an hour on hold, dude tells me I'm calling the quebec side, even though I called the number on the pink slip, another 20 mins and yelling they finally cancel my policy. They wanted to charge me $400 after 2 days. F this company, complete thieves... stay away.

This is a bad insurance their premium coverage is high if you get car accident they charge you $100 dollar other insurance they charge you 20 dollar for monthly coverage I should recommend you to join this company I get my full G and I pay $300 dollar full coverage I find better insurance and I pay $170 for a full coverage I highly recommend you to go big insurance companies I regret Aviva being a previous client now please go find cheaper insurance even if you have full G that ask 300 very expensive and there service is very low if you get car accident and not at fault they asking too much questions they never let you feel relaxed

Don't apply for this unreliable company. If I could give it a 0 I would. My family and I were with this company for 25+ years and we had NEVER done a claim with them before. Last year we had an incident involving water damage. The snow on the roof melted and got in the house, so we made a claim. Our first claim with them. They came and 'fixed' it. 2 months later, we had water damage once again at the very same spot. We called them to come see it and the repairman said this was caused by the repairmen who came last time. They did not fix it properly and it is what caused this second round of water damage. We asked him what to do because this was their fault essentially and he agreed. He said to make another claim, so we did. They came back and fixed it but we had to pay more out of pocket. What shocked, angered and hurt us the most was that they called us and said we were no longer insured by them because we had made 2 claims. For 25+ years we were with them and this is how they act? We had 3 homes and 3 cars insured under them and not once did we ever make a claim for anything until last year. We called them and went up the chain of command as far as we can go and although most agreed with us that this was disrespectful, it was out of their hands. So we went to Economical Insurance, which ended up being 200$ cheaper than what we were paying at Aviva.

I will prefer a negative score. Last January, I called in and cancelled the policy for my car and Aviva didn't charge me for last Feburary but on last March, the company charged me again. After a while, after I called in, they stopped charging me and said they overcharged me with a small amount money after they reviewed. I don't know why they can still charge me after I returned the car and called them to cancel the policy. The same thing happened to the other insurance company, they told me my right and refunded me right away. Aviva, I know you are so big but Lehman Brothers was as well! DON'T USE AVIVA!

RBC/Aviva cancelled my insurance for missed payment even though it was a mistake and I was willing and able to pay immediately. I did not receive notification of repayment schedule. They took sooo much of my time on the phone not being helpful when I was trying to deal with this issue. They wouldn't even let me cancel the insurance myself so that I could get a decent offer from another provider. just malicious for no reason. I wouldn't take a chance with them, it's been brutal. I've never had a problem with insurance before, and had no issues with claims either.
