Previous reviews are correct about it being difficult to get a hold of someone (especially when using the main phone number-on hold forever). I found that phoning my adjuster directly before noon on weekdays was best. I had the pleasure of having two professional and understanding adjusters: Nitika and Danny. They made a really bad day easier to handle by answering emails in a prompt manner and following up with me. Employees like them provided me peace of mind despite previous poor reviews on this company. My experience with this company was not perfect, but was good nevertheless.

Extremely disappointed with SGI Canada's customer service. Our adjuster's phone number goes directly to voicemail and it takes hours, if not days to get a hold of her. Emails are also ignored. No one else at this company is able to answer even the most basic of questions and the emergency line is equally useless as their only solution is for you to call your adjuster (who as I mentioned NEVER picks up the phone). It is has been a frustrating experience and I would not recommend this insurance company to anyone.

This company owes me thousands of $$$ for my settlement and they are refusing to send it to me. This company is absolutely HORRIBLE. An adjuster NEVER contacted me after I reported my auto claim (cue the crickets). I had to bug them to be able to speak to someone (EIGHT DAYS after it was reported!!). It has now been 14 days since the accident and I STILL don't have a final answer on the appraisal, and the rental coverage is going to expire. They take your money and do nothing to help you in the process, threatening to deduct fees from your settlement. The worst part is that this accident was entirely NOT my fault. As soon as this horrible experience is over, I will be switching companies immediately. If you enjoy being SCAMMED out of your money, made false promises, and being completely DISREGARDED, then this is the insurance company for you! I am disgusted by this company and their "complaint process" only takes you to someone who completely dismisses your concerns and instead threatens to take more money from you. USELESS.

By far this is the worst insurance company ever to exist. My car was rear ended total loss, the other driver was at fault. I called SGI the next day went to do police the next day. My adjuster contact me after 15 days to give me my claim number. Now it’s been 3 months. They offer me very low settlement and declined the offer. Since then I am trying to get a hold of my adjuster. I wrote more than 11 emails and call him more than 25 times and I can’t get a hold of him. NO CAR NO MONEY. stay away from this company. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

This company has been extremely difficult to contact on a daily basis. From my rime working with them, I truly believe that this company is a complete scam and in collaboration with the impound company. They try to keep the cars in longer than necessary so that the insurance can pay them extra, as this has been my experience. If your car was impounded and you use this company, be aware that your car will stay for 1 months longer than necessary.
