Got a quote very quickly but the problems occurred with the completion of the application. They claimed it would only take 30 min but the broker I was working with went on vacation so I was directed to the person standing in for them by the front desk...only they knew that person was also off but failed to tell me that. I waited around for a call back for days even though I had repeatedly mentioned that my insurance was expiring soon and I was going to be out of country. I called back and was directed to a 3rd broker...who pushed me back onto the 2nd broker. And I waited another day and a half before being told I had to call within 30min otherwise they were going to be out of office again. I called back again the next day and was shuttled between brokers yet again without actually receiving any help. After over a week of this I gave up and went with another insurance company - I can't imagine what submitting a claim would be like if I were in need of help. Do NOT recommend!

I've been a customer of Hamilton, Ward & Cathers since I was 16 years old. 29 years later I am still a loyal customer. However, my experience with a very rude broker a few weeks ago from the St. Thomas office made me seriously consider using another agency. I realize that one bad employee doesn't mean they all are, so I decided to stay but requested a different broker. By the sounds of it, I'm not the only one that has had trouble with this employee and I'm shocked that it hasn't been dealt with. I switched to a broker from the Aylmer office and was pleasantly surprised how easy and friendly my experience was. We'll see what next year brings.
