Update: I finally got my Letter of Experience, no thanks to Insurance Portfolio. The owner's response below doesn't address my concerns, but rather listed the reasons he wouldn't help. Is that who you want working for you? And in 2015, I did ask Vincent (who has since retired) to have me serviced by another broker. Vincent said to call him directly if I had policy issues. After that, my final policy with Insurance Portfolio came with my name missing from the policy, and my current and my ex-wife listed as the insured drivers. DD blamed a computer error. That's when I left Insurance Portfolio. This latest problem- apparently a clerical error done by DD during my last few years with his company- didn't surface until now. When I called the insurance regulatory board for Ontario about my problem, they were surprised to hear that Insurance Portfolio wouldn't assist a former client with a Letter of Experience. I ended up getting my LoE from Western Assurance, the carriers of the policy in question. They were responsive and polite. And they provided the report at no cost, which is apparently the industry norm. During my one phone call with the owner of Insurance Portfolio, he at first claimed his inability to help was a privacy issue. The regulatory board disagrees with him. At a minimum, he could have offered me guidance on how to get the info I needed. Instead, he left me to navigate unfamiliar waters on my own. Fortunately, someone else stepped up to help solve the problems created by Insurance Portfolio. First Post: I'd been a satisfied customer at Insurance Portfolio since the early 70s- until I was assigned to broker D.D. After a litany of errors, I changed brokers and thought my problems with them were done. Nope. Just purchased a new car, and in the process of registering it, I was told that my insurance records showed a gap of five years starting in 2010. Another error by Insurance Portfolio staff! After a week of waiting for a "Letter of Experience", I was told by the president of the company today that since I wasn't a customer there anymore, they weren't going to help. That's what forty years of paying premiums gets you. Shame!

Honestly the best service that you can get from insurance brokers! Walter was on my account and I recommend him highly as a broker of your business/needs, so ask for him if you need insurance. What I needed was very complicated, yet Walter was very patient, responsive and very helpful. You can see that the team cares about their clients and potential clients and take in consideration every concern! Definitely the best insurance broker company, and a great and professional broker!
