I loved dealing with Verge insurance!! I dealt with Jessica and Lisa and they were both so friendly, personable, and helpful. The best service that I’ve ever received from a broker:)
Julia Paterson responded quickly to my concern about a recent rate increase of my automobile insurance. She shopped around for the best rate and advised me that if there is another increase next year she would fo the same.
Unfortunately I came to Verge after mistakes were made with my previous insurance company and things were quite a mess. Jessica C. really helped to sort out the mess and explain everything in such detail and with so much patience. I don't speak "insurance" but I was much more confident with her help and explanations. I've never really had things explained to me and it really felt she had my best interest at heart and imparted a lot of wisdom. The insurance business is a slippery slope, finding someone trustworthy is so difficult! Jessica C. knows her stuff and is one of the most honest people I've ever met. Take the time to ask her for a quote and see what a good insurance company can do to improve your life!
I have had verge as my insurance broker for over a year now and what started out great having Julia Patterson as my broker, quickly turned when they switched me to Alexandra. I had called in April asking why my insurance wasn't being taken out, to which I didn't get the proper response. I called again in May after receiving an email saying i was going to be double charged for the month of May.. when i asked Alexandra she reassured me that i would only have one payment taken out on the 20th. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and they tried to withdrawal on the 9th. This lead me to weeks of being told my policy will be canceled if its not paid by June 21st. I paid my bill on June 20th and received an email yesterday (June 24th) from a different broker AGAIN that my insurance policy was cancelled on the 21st, due to non-payment. Attention to detail, good communication and organization would be a great addition to this company. *EDIT TO ADD AUGUST 21st* they absolutely DID NOT “rectify” this situation however they just prolonged it to now. I sent over $800 to them last week, I had a payment come out today and now they’re trying to charge me another $378 on the 26th.. which they moved to September 9th as a “good act of service.”
I don’t recommend using them for commercial insurance. During the process the broker on my file failed to appropriately communicate with me. Instead of contacting me directly for more information for the quotes, they reached out to the business I work for. I have personal insurance with them so my information is on file. When I reached out mid week for an update, as the insurance is needed in 2 weeks, calls and emails went unanswered. It wasn’t until I called again on Friday and explained the time sensitive nature of the situation that I was notified the broker had left Monday. I understand things happen, however when I spoke to the broker taking over my file one of the quotes weren’t even worked on. It didn’t leave me much confidence in the way they operated if something were to happen.
