Maybe they're too busy making money that they can't pick up the phone? Tried calling several times waiting on hold 15+ mins each time before hanging up. I won't be calling back a 4th time. I see what the other many unsatisfied clients who have experienced the same ordeal try other local businesses for assistance. Don't bother wasting your time on hold for a representative from Allstate in Thunder Bay, ON.

Global Food – a year ago :

We had a problem with our insurance policy when we are calling to customer service, so we decided to talk to an agent in the office. The front desk lady was informative and professional. Also, the agent helped us a lot, there were mistakes in the policy and she figures out and fixed everything for us, moreover, gave possible advice to reduce the monthly payment. We are so glad that we could solve this with the agent.

Worst customer service...No one ever answers the phone, emails take at least a week for a simple answer

After 35 Plus years with Allstate and no response to my phone calls and email I thought I should share my experience. In 35 years I have never missed or been late with a payment. Last month I had a breach on my bank account and the Bank locked the account that was set up for automatic payment to Allstate. As it is a secondary account I did not notice that the payment had not gone through until I received a letter from Allstate stating that my policy would be cancelled in 20 days if I did not pay. I immediately called to get this sorted and the person took my CC# and applied two months premium. I asked if the monthly payments would continue and I was told someone would contact to set this up. After a week no one called. I managed to contact a local agent and he said he would have someone call. Another week went by and no call. I called the local agent back and was then informed that my policy was cancelled for non payment. When I told him I paid it by CC he told me my payment had been refunded. I checked my CC and Sure enough it had been refunded. He told me someone would contact me. A person called me the next day and told they had cancelled my policy because I had payed the wrong amount and still owed $70. I explained that the person that took my payment had put in the amount and I gave her my CC# over the phone. It was not my fault that she put in the wrong amount. I asked her if I pay the $70 would my policy be reinstated. She told me they would have to reassess my policy first and this would take three or four days. In the meantime I have had no coverage for almost three weeks. I ended up calling another company to get a quote and they were happy to have me and my four policies. If this is the service I got after 35 years it's obvious that loyalty gets you nothing with Allstate. I am looking forward to dealing with a local agent that will take my calls and help me with my problems. Cheers Paul Maydo

Randy Tsubouchi is the best insurance agent our family has ever had! He is always willing to work around our busy schedule and is ALWAYS on the ball with replying to our emails and phone calls. When we contact him with a new addition policy or question, he is always willing to assist in a very timely, friendly and personal way.
