I am absolutely disgusted with this company. They have denied me health benefits through my work because of an unsatisfactory BMI and an ADHD diagnosis. Besides those two factors I am a healthy 29 year old woman. I didn't even think a denial was an option when applying for work benefits! If they deny someone for something so basic they obviously would deny someone with any medical limitations. This company deserves to be shut down.

as you can see the ratings are pretty poor, the same goes for employee satisfaction. pay is low, “culture” is a facade, and if you’re not of a certain class, your discriminated against. there is inadequate training all across the board, and if you are designated to train, you’re safe to do a sub par job as long as your mother works for the company. i was fired for being a new mom, who used my mother as a babysitter while I worked from home. fired after two months of terrible training and told to reapply once i’ve “got everything figured out” and scrutinized for not being on the one list. i make this review as i’ve since been working for a at better company down the street where they helped me realized the way i was wronged at Equitable. I’m just thankful my friend left shortly after, as it was an unhealthy work situation for them as well. Be Aware.

Terrible. They cover nothing ---always the same answer--"this is not covered by health Canada." Charge me an arm and a leg every 2 weeks just to her them say sorry thats not covered. In this case they said the prescription is not covered caused I don't have diabetes type 2, so call us back when you do. Really!!?? So, make my health worse just so I can get the prescription??

Without a doubt the worst health insurance company I have ever dealt with. A terrible app, very slow to process claims, will deny claims they have previously approved and then only approve them again after repeated calls and emails. After we switched providers they have refused to process claims that were within our active policy dates and simply will not reply or help. They have terrible coverage rates compared to other providers who have plans with similar rates.
