Have had two occasions to deal with WA / RSA in the past couple of years for accident claims (both times someone hitting me). Both times the claims adjuster was excellent on the phone - very helpfully, very prompt. Absolutely no issues getting repairs, payments, rental cars etc. Not sure why others are giving low ratings, it's all in how you handle a situation and deal with others...

I used to be with Intact and No Fault claim results were happening within a day. WA results were 2 weeks long before anything happened and I did most of the leg work. No one seemed to care how my family was doing. Intact made sure numerous times that my family were ok. Even offered counselling. WA could give me a completely free rate and I wouldn't take it. The person who actually made me feel reassured was Kristina

The Worst. Stay away, get insured by company with Mutual in its name, Western screws you over, makes you wait 2-3-4 months to resolve simple claims and delay payouts in blind effort to make you accept the lowest of lowball offers. Injury claims laughed off. Rude, impersonal service, great at taking money and paying Brokers higher commissions but you will be uninsured and worthless should you ever need help or have a loss. Don:t listen to your broker, stay clear of these scam artists and avoid a world of hurt. They refuse legit not at fault claims and you will waste hours and days on hold waiting for them to handle even the most basic of claim. Any other insurer is better, this is self inflicted pain and to be avoided.

I wish I can give this place negative star. The accident has been more than a week and not a single person reached out. I was put on hold for 2 hours then got hanged up for two days consecutively. Is this their tactic for deterring people to make claim. This bad practice can be reported to consumer protection agency! I will make sure my broker switch the insurance company or I am switch the broker myself.

Ridiculous home insurance rates. We were paying $200/ month for our insurance. Unfortunately we got stuck with these guys based on a recommendation from a local insurance broker, we were new home owners and didn't know any better. Shopped around on our 1 year renewal and ended up getting insurance through CAA for literally less than half of Western's rate and with the same coverages.
