Hi there. I am from Halifax and had to call CAA twice over the past month for help. The first young man - his name is Dallas (I think) who came - was exceptional. He was very polite, arrive very quickly (less than half an hour) and phoned when he was just 10 minutes away. He took his time to make sure I was ok and gave me a couple of suggestions. I felt very lucky to have someone like him to provide this service. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the second person who help a couple of days ago me but he was also great. If there is anyway these 2 can be acknowledged it would be appreciated

Dealing with this company is an absolute nightmare , Go elsewhere ! While I was pulling into a parking spot the other driver tried passing us through the parking spots and side swiped my vehicle. I called immediately and put a claim in but it was their emergency line and they told me someone would be in contact with me for more information. 3 weeks later I still heard nothing so I made a call and was told I should go get a estimate to get the car fixed while I wait for them to get in contact with the other drivers insurance to see who was deemed at fault . The next day I went and got an estimate and sent it to my adjuster. 5 months later it finally got approved and deemed not my fault after talking to about 15 different people and many many phone calls. I then was told to go to the rental company in my area and get a rental car estimate and send that to be approved as there is no authorized personal here that they usually use . Gave him a week to approve it and no response so I called again. The lady I got on the phone was extremely rude and basically said no we’re not covering your rental it’s over $100 dollars a day our limit is $50 dollars . I only need the rental for two days mind you. She asked why I did not get an estimate for a small car and I said I’m able to have something at-least my car size which I drive a Jeep wrangler and never was I told my rental will ever have to be $50 dollars from my adjuster or when I purchased the car insurance. she pushed it through to another adjuster who wasn’t the one I started with in the first place and said she would call. My new adjuster called and basically said the same thing in a nicer tone and asked if I could call budget because they work with their prices. Called them and they said the exact same thing $112 dollars a day for my size vehicle. I emailed her a copy , left a voicemail and 4 calls and got no reply. Today heard back and no further ahead then a few days ago , said the rental company isn’t complying with there prices and need someone higher up to call. Was told I can go ahead and get a rental but they can not guarantee I won’t have to pay for it out of my pocket. I pay extra to have the rental coverage on my plan. Now my car is in the shop getting fixed and I will have to pay for another way to work and back. Every time I called this company the person said something different. Would not recommend anyone to go here . This process has gone on about 6 months total for one claim! My last claim I put through was with TD and they had everything figured out and my car in the shop getting fixed within the same week of the claim ! Horrible service.

I have been a member of CAA for over 10 years and it has been a reliable and fantastic service whenever needed. Whether I was travelling many miles from home or in need of a quick boost at home, CAA has been there for me. I highly recommend CAA and the membership is worth every penny. It may seem like you don’t need to spend the money but as soon as you need their service you realize just how valuable and truly inexpensive CAA is.

Insurance is as good as your experience when you need it. When I needed caa they left me hanging. The technician seemed to just want to get out of changing my tire or even towing my vehicle.

Be nice if they had someone who actually could do insurance at this office.
