AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIEVES - You are the most dishonest thief insurance company I have ever dealt with. I called you in March to tell you I do not own a car anymore and you force me to continue paying April and May. So I paid you April and may even though I don’t own the car (there’s nothing to cover) and then guess what, you continue charging me in June. I had to call 3 different people before you cancel my car assurance for a car I don’t own anymore since March. Same thing with house insurance , you continued charging me when I asked to cancel months ago, the calls are recorded you said I will receive a specific refund amount and then the refund is actually less than half of what you VERBALLY PROMISED ON A RECORDED CALL. You have no accountability, I have to continuously call back and waste 40 minutes on hold before speaking with someone to tell you for a 3rd time to stop charging my account and it’s funny how once I told you I’m going to my bank to contest all these payments is when you decided to cancel my contract for house insurance . I will never be a customer again , neither will my wife, my family has cancelled too. You have nothing to reply to my review go ahead I would love to read your generic l response “we are sorry to hear this please call bla bla and we will do nothing about it in the end” because you know I’m right you stole my money I had to constantly call you to get my “refunds” that were half the money you promised you owed me. It’s not worth the headaches anymore goodbye at least my review can hopefully shed light to others to avoid your company.
AVOID THIS - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! I unfortunately had the worst experience of my life with this insurance company. I even regret moving from my previous insurance (more than 6 years) to Intact Insurance. I was in the process of changing my car, so I called to understand the new insurance policy and the fees that would be charged for my new car. They gave me a quotation around 1600+tx/year. Once I disclosed this to the car agency, they said it was too much and proposed an insurance company that they work with. Yes this company offered a better price of 1320+tx/year. I called back Intact and asked if they can do better in terms of pricing as I also have my house policy with them. They said no and that’s the best they can offer. As a loyal customer, I thought that 300$ is not worth the trouble and asked Intact to add my new car making it clear that I am going to cancel my old car. They confirmed that this strategy is very good as I will not be charged for cancelling my old car. Once I sent all the information related to the car to make the change, I was disappointed and surprised to see that the price jumped to 1922+tx/year. When I called to ask why the price difference, they said that the model of the car wasn’t what they used in the first quotation and the price is really synced with the model of car, even if I am sure that during the call I disclosed the model and everything. Anyway, at that moment it was kind of late as I needed the insurance the next day to be able to drive the car. And then, two days later, I received my actual insurance receipt and GUESS WHAT ! THE PRICE WAS AGAIN HIGHER. Instead of the price that they gave me 1922+tx/year. The invoice was charging 1980+tx/year. When I called again to understand the difference, they said that ohhh the first price included a promotion for multiple cars but since I sold the previous car, the promotion now is off. LIKE WHAT ! Are you kidding me ! I explained during the multiple calls that the new car was to replace the old one !! Anyway, I couldn’t take it anymore and asked them to cancel the policy. We are talking about 2 days after I got it. And you know how much they are charging me to cancel ?? 219$ (equivalent of 1 month of the new car policy, the car policy that I didn’t even use) instead of 55$ (my previous car insurance price/ month). CAN YOU TELL ME A BETTER SCAM THAN THIS ONE ? Anyway… I canceled this and went with another company. And planning to cancel my house policy with them soon ! AVOID THS BECAUSE BESIDES THE MONEY SCAM, I HAD TO LOSE HOURS IN THE PHONE AND BY EMAILS !! YOU CAN DO BETTER WITH YOUR TIME !!!
Absolutely the worst and slowest company I've ever encountered. I made a claim on 03-08, total loss, it's now 04-23 and I'm still without a vehicle waiting on a 3rd cheque because of supposed clerical errors to be sent to the finance company so I can replace my car. *Update... it's now May 10th. A fourth check was sent on the 3rd and has not yet been received. Every time I call it's same damn run around and I can't get through/get a response from the complaint department.
Deinitely do not recommend. After 5+ years as a client with them, when I cancelled my contract, they did not inform me of the cacnellation fees and just ended up chargin me 500$ out of the blue. They even istened to thei own employee's recording of the call and agreed that it was a mistake on their side, but would still refuse to re-imbourse me anything. Never using their services again, I suggest you all look for better more honest insurance companies.
They are a scam of a company along with belair (same clowns). 9 months without a car or a solution. Their agents are incredibly rude, they have zero respect for their clients. They will threaten you to continuously pay even though you haven't seen your car for months, zero updates, no rental, no service , they do not respect delays. If you got scammed go to court don't waste your time with them they will leave you hanging.
